40 years 1969 – 2009

The School officially turns 40 on 18th August , 2009. TVPS has a long history in education and promoting a community feel within our school community and we invite you to attend our main celebrations:

For further information please contact the office on 8850 5777 and leave a message for one of the organising committee members. We encourage you to tell past TVPS parents/students that you know – the more the merrier!!!

Also – another diary date. Twilight Market at TVPS on Thursday November 20th, 2009 from about 5.30pm. Gold coin Entry, Great Chrissy shopping, refreshments etc etc.

Children will enjoy a special morning tea after assembly.
Assembly at 9.00am

Tuesday 19th May - Open Day at TVPS with School Tours

Monday 22nd June - Guest Speaker - Deborah Patterson at Assembly 3.00pm

Monday 13th July - Guest Speaker - Trish Renfree at Assembly 3.00pm

Sunday 16th August - OPEN DAY at TVPS 11.00am - 2.00pm
Sausage Sizzle Lunch and Guided Tours

Tuesday 18th August - It’s Our Birthday - Happy Birthday to us!!
Special activities for Students, Parents & Staff all day

Saturday 22nd August - “Turn Back Time” Dinner & Band
Adult only 6.00pm -midnight at Ted Ajani Centre Lower Temp
Band - Don’s Party  Cost approx $35.00 per person(to be confirmed)
We invite all past students(over 18 years)past & present staff and parents to attend this event.  Everyone welcome!

Events / Activities

The P&F welcome new ideas and contributions to planning our calendar throughout the year. Our main communication is through the weekly school newsletter “the Trumpet”. We rely heavily on the assistance of the teaching staff to distribute notices and of the students themselves to take responsibility to give such to parents / guardians to ensure all opportunity to participate. This website is another approach new in 2009 for the P&F to communicate to the school community and advertise our activity and achievements.

The planning of events occurs throughout the year with P&F members assisting in both administration tasks and the execution of the event /activity itself. Aside from pleasurable, this is often a time consuming effort and all P&F members ( and often partners/family) contribute as able throughout the year. 2009 will be no exception as our 40th anniversary year will include many P&F driven events/activities.

P&F activities are included on the school calendar and highlighted in ( colour). Please put them in your own diary for reference.
