Keys for Success

Did you know that you hold the keys to your own success and happiness? In our Student Wellbeing lessons this week, we have been looking at how we can unlock our own ‘treasure chest of success’ with four keys.

  • Confidence
  • Persistence
  • Organisation
  • Getting Along

The Year 4 students discussed times when they have used these keys and what they mean. Some of the great ideas they had include:

  • Confidence: trying something new; being happy to do something; having a go; fighting for your own rights; using your abilities to their best advantage; not being scared of little things; being positive.
  • Persistence: follow your dreams; never give up; don’t worry; don’t let people bring you down; show who you are; don’t let fear let you stop doing the things you love; give things another try before you give up; push yourself; keep going back to things.
  • Organisation: being neat; being on time; knowing where everything is; having a plan; keeping a routine; staying on top of things; being ready; finishing things on time.
  • Getting Along: be nice to people; take turns; volunteer or help out; don’t be a bully; accept others; be resilient; work together; discuss things calmly; don’t brag.

I’m sure you’ll agree that we can all keep working on using these ‘keys to success’
