As part of our English unit on ‘Poetry’, the students in 4PS learnt about the structure of cinquain poems.
A cinquain poem has five lines, and each line has a rule you must follow.
Line 1: title
Line 2: must be two words to describe the title – think adjectives!
Line 3: has three words that express an action – think words ending in ‘ing’.
Line 4: has four words that express a feeling or gives detail.
Line 5: must be one word that refers back to the title.
