On Monday the 26th August T.V.P.S celebrated Book Week. We all want our children to grow up with a strong grasp of literacy and numeracy, to have vivid imaginations and to enjoy curling up and getting lost in a book. Each and every day is filled with opportunities to expand our reading horizons, whether this is within large or small groups, before school, after school, at home, during breaks, in classrooms, inquiry spaces or in warm and cosy reading places. Building individual reading skills and habits is so important, as are the benefits children receive from being read to. To help celebrate our love for books all the students came to school dressed up as their favourite book character and enjoy parading around in front of all their peers. All the students looked fantastic, congratulations on a wonderful morning.
